SIGRAD (The Swedish Chapter of Eurographics)  is the premier Nordic forum for computer graphics and visualization advances for academia and industry, with a special focus on visualization and interactive graphics in computer games and education in Sweden. In addition to the regular submissions concerning general computer graphics practices, this year’s conference will also accept Papers/Posters from in the worlds wide.

Venue and Days

SIGRAD2016 will be held at Uppsala University, Campus Gotland in Visby, Sweden as 2 days conference, 23-24 of May 2016 (one day overlapped with  GGC – Gotland  Game Conference).


Interactive computer graphics and animation techniques are the basis for the sophisticated modern technologies that drive computer games and the associated multi-billion dollar industry. Further, visualization, computer graphics techniques and games have great potential in educational tools and methodologies, representing a motivational force for better engaging students in pedagogical activities concerning science, technology, engineering and mathematics subjects.


As a special focus at SIGRAD 2016, we welcome Papers/Posters Papers related to the following topics from academia and industry:

1) SIGRAD2016  accept Paper/Poster in the field of Computer Graphics, Image Processing, AR/VR, Game and Interactive Technology.

2)Position papers and/or posters presenting state-of-the-art graphics and animation technologies in the computer games industry.

3) Descriptions of novel courses/curricula, approaches and teaching experiences involving the use of computer graphics visualizations and games techniques.

Note that submissions outside of these topics of the special focus will receive equal consideration for acceptance during the review process.

Publication and Presentation

Submission categories include paper (up to 8 pages), and poster paper (up to 2 pages). All papers will be published in the same conference proceedings.
Papers will be scheduled for oral presentation, Poster papers will also have an opportunity to make a brief oral presentation (fast-foward format) in addition to the classical Poster session or new electric poster session using Note PC.

BEST PAPERS ( to be )

Authors of selected papers from the Technical Program will be invited to submit significantly extended versions to be considered for publication in Computers and Graphics:


Undergraduate/Master level students may attend the conference and present for the heavily discounted fee. In this case, they must be the first author on the paper, implying that a significant amount of the work has been conducted by a student. University identification cards will be requested at the time of registration in order to provide proof of student status.
